iskins!

so, i've been pretty bad about posting. lots going on, working on stuff, but nothing completed to show yet.  and now i have a cold. but my sample iskins arrived today! unfortunately, the screen message is missing the "n" at the end of "garden" and the "l" at the end of "segal," but those are minor details. and i apologize for not taking the time to edit these scans and make them all pretty. i need to lay in bed and avoid looking at a bright screen. but please tell me, what do you think?? would you put this on your iphone/ipod/ipad?

my lovely friend kat recently went and had another drawing of mine imprinted on her in ink. i am amazed at how her tattoo artist captured every last detail perfectly! and again, i am so honored and flattered that she would want something that i've created to be a part of her for the rest of her life. thank you, kat ♡

adventures in apparell

i've been wanting to venture into clothing for a while, but it's been a challenge to get together. finding the right printer, the right printing method, the right t-shirt, making the designs compatible and wearer-friendly. finally, i've got a little something to show! not much, but a little. all modeled by my beautiful niece, leah ♡

first up is the sample tee i recently had printed up with "baby's breath." overall, i'm happy with the print quality, but will definitely do the large batch on a crew neck, rather than a scoop, so the design will sit up a little higher.

next are two experiments, inspired by the embroidered "heart flourish." the first was done leaving the design in its original format, with the larger print.

and here is one more embroidered sweatshirt, but this time i a smaller print (which is also on a lighter-weight fabric) and separated the two elements on the front and back.
